Electric was off yesterday 8-3 pm so not much done only headboard and chain down points , That will be it for a week now

Horses for courses though. Hgv trailers need to flex and twist because there isn't much suspension articulation on a truck so beams are the better solution. You don't want tractor trailers to twist so much ideally so why not use box section to begin with. I'm not saying op is wrong it's just different ways of getting to same result.
I have an AS marston grain trailer with chassis made of box and an easterby grain trailer made of channel. The easterby is 10 times the trailer that the AS is.
