I need some struts for my old tractor cab door and rear window can anyone suggest a supplier of well made strut.
Pic attached of similar type of strut .
How does one measure them so as to order correct length of strut.
Many thanks.
Hey fellow farmers
Does anyone out there who has a massey ferguson 7s have a trick to keep the pto drive going once you leave your seat and gotten out the cab.
Iv owned a few different series over the years and putting on the handbrake and then leaving the cab usually does the trick but its...
Hi all,
just bought a Massey 185 baler (same as a Heston). Seems to be working but it’s clattering a fair bit from in front of the slip clutch, the overrun clutch and UJ seems to have a fair bit of wobble in it, is there a bushing or a bearing to replace in there to stop it clattering about so...
I‘m dreaming of treating myself to a decent roller cabinet toolbox for the workshop complete with shiny new tools and cosy little foam trays for them all to sleep in. I’ve got thousands of tools, just fed up moving them between tractors, workshop, sheds etc.
Looking for recommendations for...

Krone has once again pushed the envelope with its latest four-rotor rake, claiming it to be the largest machine of its type on the market.
Known as the Krone Swadro TC 1570, it is centred around the familiar V-frame concept, which has been adapted from...
Spirit Levels. What’s the point of them on Farm Machinery? Have them on Manitou & Lemken machines here. Neither anywhere accurate. Somebody could have done with one when fitting it:ROFLMAO:
What other useless features have others come across on their machines?
Predicted that within 5 years new cars won't be offered with a manual gearbox.
Change driven by rise (& legislation) of EVs but also by new drivers opting to learn only on automatics.
Be a bit sad IMO as it's a pleasure & a skill to match gear changes to revs but with flappy paddles, I have...

My Mf 135 engine died today. It wouldn’t restart but then I bleed it at one of the injectors and it started up pretty quickly. I was trying to figure out what had caused the airlock and then I noticed that the lower bleed nut on the injector pump was loose, loose enough that I could turn it...

Looking at a new rear 3 pt link mounted 2.4m disc mower, no conditioner. Limited to 2.4m for storage reasons and a few small and difficult to access patches we do.
Currently use a Kuhn PZ170 and while it makes a nice job it's too slow. Still wanting a clean cut but bigger drum mowers look...
Our old stirrer has given up, just wondering if there are certain makes that are better than other's and what people recommend. Think I remember pricing up a Mixit Stirrer a few years ago.
Needs to be 25ft and is for just stirring a standard lagoon.
Thanks.
looking to upgrade a few things and offset some tax in the process but not overpay....has anyone had quotes for tractors or machinery in 2024 and if so what were they if you dont mind posting? ive been told dealers were now stuck with stock they cant shift but are they prepared to drop? waiting...
Over £2.4m worth of vintage and classic tractors, steam engines, vehicles, motorcycles and petroliana were sold on Saturday 20 April at a packed-out Cheffins’ Vintage auction in Sutton, Ely.

The Husco valve controllers are installed on several AGCO and other brands, including Challengers, some Massey Fergussons, a few Valtras and McCormick tractors, and they are known to fail - and it’s hard to get new ones.
I read somewhere online that ACGO has made a fix for these.
Does anyone...
Hi all.
Has anyone used a drum mower for cutting silage and raked it up without tedding it out. I currently have a plain disc mower that I want to change, but I've a feeling that I'll be buying a mower conditioner. Tia.
Several fields of hybrid rye where the crop has only really survived on top of drains. Maybe 20% of field areas actually growing, so no point patching. No spring fert or autumn herbicide at all. What to do?
Ground/soil is sadder than I’ve ever known it, and we’ve had some sad springs. Possible...
Demo of jd 3046 compact today.
Disappointed.
Gear range A not quite fast enough range B too fast. Cab great, but christ is it bouncy , let tyres down from 25psi to 14 ,it's on standard turfs , a cheap air seat is disappointing on a tractor costing 35-40k.
Sore neck, shoulders, aching back...
