Being quoted 4.75 for next week. Mostly O grade so probably be 4.65 for me. Do we think it will lift into may? Should i keep hold of them?

There ain’t no abbatoir paying big feeders 40-50p more for clean cattle I’m not sure who told someone this but that’s the biggest load of bull sh1t I’ve heard in a while !!!!

In all honesty I’m friends with some folks who are sending multiple loads a week and both of them say they are getting more favourable terms than the smaller producers get. They didn’t say they are getting 40-50p a kilo more but they are definitely getting more and that’s on the basis they turn up with cattle when they are needed

I don’t know about prices I don’t ask but I do know they don’t get pulled on some things the rest of us do but they are constantly in a discussion about what they get and how they are paid the trump card is being able to say they won’t be sending any next week that seems to put things right for them

There maybe one or two who were offered and chanced it. Everything was pointing to it being up there and higher, shortage of back end strong stores blah blah blah but here we are prices slipping steadily when this time last year they were desperate for them. A perceived famine never materialises.
