The big deadweight sellers (maybe 50 a week) are on a fair bit more than that, perhaps ÂŁ5.30 so ÂŁ2120,and with those sort of numbers there is a margin there.Has my calculator broken?
Deadweight ÂŁ4.85 X 400kg comes to ÂŁ1940.
It takes some very good cattle to get to 400kg dead, even if the price gets back to the magic ÂŁ5.00 that only just covers some of the expenses.
Or are we going to be at a much higher price by this summer?
I don’t believe they’ll be on 40/50p a kilo more than everyone elseThe big deadweight sellers (maybe 50 a week) are on a fair bit more than that, perhaps £5.30 so £2120,and with those sort of numbers there is a margin there.
If you can send a couple lorryloads at short notice to make up their numbers for the day it will be close to it.I don’t believe they’ll be on 40/50p a kilo more than everyone else
You said if they are sending 50 a week.If you can send a couple lorryloads at short notice to make up their numbers for the day it will be close to it.
I think they areI don’t believe they’ll be on 40/50p a kilo more than everyone else
Has someone told you they are?I think they are
They probably may well be,the one thing I don't understand is the fact that paying an extra 40/50p kg doesn't make any more cattleI think they are
A lot of these would be no where near 400 dead 450/500kg live really good sorts thoughHas my calculator broken?

I’m surprised someone’s been silly enough to divulge that to you…. An extra 50p could be an extra £210 per beast or 10k per load
sound's a lot to me!I’m surprised someone’s been silly enough to divulge that to you…. An extra 50p could be an extra £210 per beast or 10k per load
