running welder off 13amp socket?

Hello everyone, bought a 200amp parweld inverter welder few weeks back to build my silage pusher project for college and I'm unsure as to what plugs/sockets i need. The welder did not come with a plug and I assume it requires a blue 16a round pin plug not a sqaure 13a one. I'd be running it out in the shed off the domestic mains supply and I'm hoping i wont need to call an electrician to wire a 16a socket? any help would be greatly appreciated!
welder spec: Input voltage 230v
frequency: 50/60Hz
input current: 30A max 13.4eff
output ocv: 78
output load voltage: 20.8-26.4
output current: 20-160A DC

You'll be restricted on amps at 13a fuse.
If you want to run above 140 ish, I'd think you need 16a or you'll be melting things.

Looking at the spec you've given I'm guessing you've got something like an XTS162 which is 160A - not 200A. Depending on how hard you are going to be running the unit you might get away with running off a 13A socket, but you'll probably want a supply of spare fuses. You will also need to keep checking the plug/socket for signs of damage and overheating.

I have a kempi inverter welder on a 13 amp plug.

It'll burn 3.2mm rods up to 140 amps all day (literally) and doesn't blow fuses, so you should be fine without the blue 16 amp connection.

For example, we made a 24 foot trailer for the primary school out of an old three tonne tipper chassis, and some 8 inch H beams using the kempi, and nearly 5kg of rods

I run a 160 amp invertor off a 13a plug no problem at all .
Only problem is when I use an extension that is still coiled up  it trips the extension overload .
The welder goes from giving full power to full off , which isn't good for it .:clown:
