Iphone users are like fendt and scania drivers, they think it is the only way to get it done and all others secretly want to be like them.
In reality you pay through the nose for something that isn't all that special and to the disbelief of the die hards, some people just don't like the product.

So just like Apple, Tesla, ... 🤔

Always had Samsung smart phones, last one did seven years, bought a new galaxy A34 last year and it’s absolute shite.👎
Any recommendations for a phone that actually works?
To be honest, it is always a pain when "upgrading" phones. New and "better" software ete etc.. 🤷‍♂️

What is your beef about the A34? I gave up on Samsung yonks ago, and 4 out of 5 of us in the family now use Moto G of one flavour or another.

Not cheapo are they....!

And from a quick looksee, not running a Vanilla android OS, so lots of little quirks to deal with? I have got too old to be messing with the grief that a new OS provides the user with... Done it too many times now. :ROFLMAO:

Poor signal and even poorer wi-fi signal.

Had a couple of Motos, both had charger socket fail.New module was about £5 but looked a pain to change with big numb agric fingers & specialist charge £50
Latest is an Oscal C30. seems fine for my needs & only circa £70.

Yes the old USB sockets were known to be crap...
I discovered that the problem with my Moto charging port was crap accumulated in the port so the charger didn't settle right in.
A simple cure is carefully picking out the bum fluff with a plastic fine point toothpick followed up with a blast from the air line.

A perfect summary.
Expensive and quite complicated in their own 'special' way!
You pays (double) your money and takes your pick.

Be like @steveR (and me) and choose a Moto! :)

That’s a fair comment. But people vote with their feet…and if it’s support that’s important to the OP it would seem sensible to be able to ask the biggest group of people for help 🤷‍♂️

Your network hasn’t made 5G available locally by any chance? Our EE signal went to shite and kept dropping out during calls. Then I noticed it was on 5G occasionally which, when I did an internet speed test was a pee poor, weak signal.
I went into the phone settings and disabled 5G (had to Google how to get there) and it’s been fine since.

No just shocking signal,I’ve a booster on the side of the house and it still doesn’t ring.👎

I dropped my Google Pixel 6 into a drain I was cleaning out the other day. 3 foot of stinking black sludge. It took another 20 minutes to get down to the bottom of the drain to get the phone. A quick rinse under the tap and it was good to go. Very impressed and relieved!
And Pixel 7 is on a heavily discounted price at one or two outlets yesterday.... I was tempted, VERY tempted...

I seem to remember reading that battery life on the 7 was a problem when it came out. I got my 6 when the 7 was released as it was heavily discounted.

Buy an S23, you bought one of their budget phones and got budget performance, what do you expect? Even an A54 is a far better machine still in their budget range. Don't go to apple, they are theiving barstewards who make stuff for people who don't care enough to research anything else.
