I'm looking everywhere for the NUM3 payment rate. Can someone remind me please?

7kg total per ha plus some vetch which I will drill into it the 2nd spring.
7kg / ha , wow , I'm thinking my 6kg / acre is a bit mean

To be honest, I have had really good ground cover with 1kg of red and one of white.
The salesman I was talking to today said "You need around 10kg per ha of clovers". So I went in the middle.
Don't forget they are here to sell and not necessarily for your benefit. Plus they know if you were a proper farmer you would spend £590 per hectare!

20kg pack , £5.90 / kg
55% Common Vetch, 15% Red Clover, 10% Crimson Clover, 7.5% Alsike Clover, 5% Sainfoin, 2.5% Lucerne, 2.5% Birdsfoot Trefoil, 2.5% Black Medick

If you take out the vetch at 8.25kg per hectare, your clovers come out at 6.75kg, interestingly.
The last 4 species are pretty expensive I think , might go at 5kg an acre now .
BUT , I do want a mix that might actually do the ground some good

5kg/ha of clover should produce full clover cover in good conditions.
Maybe we need a conversation about sowing rates for this stuff .

Maybe do some trials of seed rates and report back next year.
The other thing to consider is sowing date and depth, 10mm being what I aim for.
I'm drilling it with all the pressure off the coulters . not got another option

I see , so our mix mix @ 7 kgs H works out at £19.50 Hec , your mix sounds a tad dear

Our cricket groundsman was always imploring me to kill it with herbicide on the square. Used to irritate him no end! A weed is something where not wanted! Grows for fun in our village sports field. Tis a funny old world.
