then its wait for this & another field to die off a bit & going to see what happens if we go straight in with a claydon with some more spring barley 🤞🏼

Group of 8 freshly calved cows heading to Exeter with Kivells on Friday 24th April.
All 3rd calvers with the exception of one first calved heifer (black heifer on the far right of the group photo), yielding an average of about 28 litres as a group. One is scanned incalf and 3 have been served already. Been grazing since calving and are currently out day and night with limited access to some maize in ring feeders with cake fed to yield in the parlour. Would likely do more litres on a more intensive system.
Really nice cows, only for sale as I have far too many due to calve in the next few months so am selling my non-pedigree cows as they calve in, really like this group and have done me exceptionally well until now.
Any further info please feel free to message, any shares would be greatly appreciated, any support (ideally with bids!) on friday would be very welcome by both me and my bank account (y)

Get them in mkt, to give kivells long enough to give them a full wash, cut and trim, you will be surprised how better they will look. Thursday perhaps, or 6.00 friday morning.

they look good now, but even better after the beauty clinic.

good luck.

They should make £1400 I would think

I'm trying to keep my hopes down rather than up, fields man reckons said 1300 on a bad day. I'm hoping that because it's raining on Friday everyone will go to market 🙈

I don't want to sell them tbh, but if I keep everything I have atm, I've got 160-170 to calve down in the next 12 months and there's just no way me or the farm can cope with it
Plus I could do with the cash for stuff like reseeding, bale wrap etc
