So far I’ve mostly been catching a lot of common heartshields and purple plate jaws but this time I found a few much smaller sorts. Pin palps I think and a big eyed beetle. Worth checking before emptying out since they’re easily lost in the debris
I'm only really finding the odd Carabid beetle...however absolutely loads of Spiders. I'm not sure what species they are though, had a quick look on the 'web' (https://ahdb.org.uk/knowledge-libra...s-and-mites-as-natural-enemies-of-field-pests) to see that there are over 300 species. No insecticides for 3 years and it seems to be showing.
Interesting. I find a lot of the small money spiders regularly as well as other non beetle invertebrates of all shapes and sizes. Also most traps have flies in them about half the size of normal houseflies. Not sure what the insect is on the plate but I reckon it’s some form of springtail (collembola)
