I use a Lidl special. Would be grand for mending sheep races, and is a lot less than £700. From memory it was about 10% of that.
I typed 13 amp inverter welder into Google and this was one of the first ones that came up. My old one went up to 130amps but I couldn't use it as it blew fuses and trips if I did without a 50metre extension lead. That was with 15amp fuse wire in the plug as well.
I do plan on getting a mig welder when I have a big job that could justify one. Just want something small and handy for now really.

Yep, I'd buy that, or anything that looks similar and probably comes out of the same factory too.

It's good enough to stick a couple of bits of gate together, and that's what you want.

Is there anything that would be handy
Like a service kit bundle

Or a portable jump starter kit

Genuine cobo led worklamp lighting upgrade kit tractor model specific

Wireless trailer lighting kit

There used to be loads of generic inverter boxes out there that would run off a 13a fuse burn at a claimed 160-200a and almost fit through a letterbox. Not searched the market recently (not needed too) but they were all under £100.
They do the job around the yard and you won't shed a tear if you drop it in the slurry. Fwiw I've got a Rohr was around £70 If memory serves.

looks a good deal! Got Milwaukee grease gun and big impact driver, not sure about the paddle switch on it, always preferred the slider on the top.

Makes me smile old farmer mate , sadly now passed , ran older classic gear like IH . That was his style, tractor for each implement. But presumably 5 -10 k tractors not 60k .
