Funny how a decent farm roadway makes you feel like a rich manNot today, but lately-ish! I remember my Dad and another farmer, Tommy, chatting long ago. Tommy was of the opinion put money into accessing land, farm roads. Dad built a shed. I think Tommy was right tbh Both the shed my Dad built and that of another of their friends got limited use and are now in disrepair, while the roads are well bedded in by now I'd like a good shed but I need roads, so I'm building roads! In some places they're just mud tracks, humps and tussock pulled out and levelled for a smoother quad track, other places I'm removing obstacles like cutting the tops off bedrock in old cart paths, and then brand new roads like below. Gradually I hope to put terram and stone the quad tracks too.
