I thought fungicides were all decided on which products offer the best commission to the agromomist
So your generic prothio is costing the same as Aviator?I’ve bought some Vimoy + Aviator box sets, I’ll use the Aviator mid flower on the OSR and partner the Vimoy with Generic Prothio @ T1 for the same money
Makes Revystar look very expensive !
That's not what he said. The bixafen in Aviator does very little on septoria these days but is very good for osr.So your generic prothio is costing the same as Aviator?
The generic prothio does very little on septoria these days, so just relying on an SDHI?That's not what he said. The bixafen in Aviator does very little on septoria these days but is very good for osr.
@T Hectares will be able to answer that, but it is normal to partner a SDHI with a good dose of triazole. I'm not using SDHI at T1. Crops are clean here and no high risk varieties, so a strong dose of PTZ, teb for rust and strobes for protection. The generic prothio does very little on septoria these days, so just relying on an SDHI?
No, once you take the Aviator and it’s price out of the box set the remaining Vimoy is keenly pricedSo your generic prothio is costing the same as Aviator?
Prothio will do some eyespot and mildew and add some Septoria control, not much but from another active so reduce resistance riskThe generic prothio does very little on septoria these days, so just relying on an SDHI?

My worry is that in these low temperatures, there is latent septoria waiting t
You only reduce the resistance risk if you provide effective control to support other actives. Prothio has had its day in winter wheat, but still core in barley.Prothio will do some eyespot and mildew and add some Septoria control, not much but from another active so reduce resistance risk
Vimoy ok on rust and as good on Septoria as Revystar and Univoq so a good T1 for half the price of Revystar
I had Vimoy and Prothio/strob box setNo, once you take the Aviator and it’s price out of the box set the remaining Vimoy is keenly priced
And the Aviator is better utilised on the OSR than with the Vimoy on the wheat
they don't they get told!Is there any web sites that show what each active ingredient does and how good it does it. Been on the AHDB site but it’s about 10 years out of date. How do agronomists decide which active is best.
Hadn’t seen one with a strob, there’s one with Jessico, one with Kestrel and another with ProlineI had Vimoy and Prothio/strob box set
Titania I think it's called. Exactly same as ZephyrHadn’t seen one with a strob, there’s one with Jessico, one with Kestrel and another with Proline
Just have to watch some of them as Proline is about 3 times more expensive than Generic Soratel
revystar T1, univoq T2 get your coat.
Always happens, varietal resistance tends to show in to what extent the variety can grow away from disease in the base.Septoria been in bottom leaves a few weeks now wheat seams to be growing away from it at the moment I have seen an of scorched tip that is infected but few and far between .
Quoted near £60/ltr for revy equivilant, what preice is your vimoy + prothio to be half cost and what rate pls?Prothio will do some eyespot and mildew and add some Septoria control, not much but from another active so reduce resistance risk
