Photo On A Post

If I try and quote a post that includes a photo, the pic doesn't appear, what am I doing wrong?

above is how it works for me

On the menu bar shown at the top of the box that you write the post in , click on the 'insert image' icon /choice then open a file you might have the photo saved in and drag it to that box like this ...

or just open the file you have the photo in and just drag it into the posting box .
That's on Windows 11 and a google browser .

the pic wont be in the quote but a link ti the attachment should be ?

well i just click reply , and there it is
but to see it you have to click on

Thanks @Bury the Trash, it works by clicking the reply button, I'm using my desktop now (Windows 10, with Classic Shell added to make it look like Windows 7). My mistake was that I was highlighting a some of the text on a post and couldn't see how to add the picture. I also use an Android tablet, I'll try it on that.

Screen capture, selecting area, copy, then pasting and adding comment underneath, probably best to do the wider post though so you get who posted the original.

What's the point of taking a screenshot when I've already got it in my pictures file?

I've never taken a screenshot anyway. How do I do it on my windows desktop and android tablet?
