Never owned or driven a john deere in my life. Looking at a second hand one 2018 with jd loader 3000 hrs power quad transmission 115min/l. What are these tractors like ? Are they reliable? Good on a loader? Stable on a slope?

They are an ok horse, i drive a 155 for work.

Personally i own a mf7614, that i much prefer apart from the seat.

Range gearstick is so old school, and small cab.

Ant...

We had a demo of a 120m it was a cracking tractor very comfortable and surprisingly powerful

Best loader tractor on the market looking at strength, chassis can take all the abuse you throw at it as can the frontaxle within reason. However the view is absolutely horrendous if you don't have the glass roof and with the big bonnet I doubt it'll win any prizes for view down low. Powrquad is a good transmission, probably the best out there if you want if you want to shift by yourself, but it is clunky.
The tractor is basically a 32 year old design...

That is the one of the things that I'd might regret in a few years. But that gearbox is said to be bombproof!

Best loader tractor a fairly bold statement!

And incorrect.....

Them wee Deere's with their tiny old cabins weren't built to cope with a forklift bucket and grab like the chassis and suspended axle on the Finnish alternative 🤷

Just as maneuverable, better vision and comfort, altogether a much nicer place to spend a more productive day

And do you know the best thing about the one in the pictures?

It's mine 😜🤣

I think the JD 120M is far superior loader tractor than the 130M, I can't think of 1 reason to buy a 130M over a 120M, but can think of a few reasons to buy a 120 over a 130.
Longer wheel base , steep ground and a bit more power. I know what you're saying about the 120m. Pity 130 or 140 hadn't a bit more slope on the nose.

Just get the Deere with the quickie loader….i couldn’t stand the gearbox in the valtras I tried
I've the "direct" hydrostatic transmission. Drive it on the foot throttle like merlo forklift. Going back to clutch and brake pedal is like going back to fitting the collar on the Clydesdale horse to go ploughing

What makes quicke loaders better than Deere? I thought Deere had copied the cast knee and boom end design, and fitted replaceable bushes (at last) ?

Is it lifting/tear out forces? Got to say my Q5M is a beast. Lifting near 2.5t to near 4m is effortless

Aye N series. Was 134hp at the crankshaft when new. Admittedly it's been "a good" 150hp at the shaft for the past few thousand hours, but the extra ponies weren't needed for loader work

Agree with this.Im not a Deere man but can’t really fault the short frame sloping bonnet 100-120m .The 130m will be big and clumsy in a yard, and the view of the loader down low is non existent.

Yes, but I would think that if you need the extra weight, length and hp a 140M or a 145M would be a much better choice. I just think the 130M is neither fish nor fowl.
