We have a 1985 412, zillion hours, still going.
my mechanic mate said fair play it’s the only think you lot haven’t managed to break. Serviced every decade wether it needs it or not. Sure it has limits but indestructible
That's what I like to hear. Always fancied an ex army 410 from that era, they were sold off for pittance, most with less than 1000 hrs.

Was looking at a 2004/2005, would they be painful slow up a hill?
Leisurely I'd suspect, existing Scorpion is not know for its turn of speed up hill. 411 I'd say was similar if not marginally slower. Might be better when warmed up. Think 05 are less power?

It is, you'd not think it has done 100 hrs.
Whoever resprayed it did a better job than jcb do from factory. Our arm and headstock has loads of missed patches. Having its 100 hour service today, will have to see what they say. Not that the chap doing it is in a good mood, turned up at the farm 60 miles away from where we told them the machine would be. We left it there because its closer to their yard. Only used the live link when he got there. Second time he's done it aswell, after coming out to fit a new door hinge that snapped off after the fourth time opening it🙄

It hasn’t been resprayed, only the headstock has,if it’s come from where I think it won’t ever have been outside.

The stay bar for locking the pivot for transport says different
The stay bar is rusty?
Look at the rhd side near the back of the boom and the toolbox at the top of the steps.

Only the counterweight has been resprayed, rest is original. Its been caked in dust in a feed mill its entire life. All the bolts still have bright electroplating. Headstock is original but new as was swapped. Not sure the story with the stay bar, looks like it's been sat in the gutter.
