A couple of friends have shared this on Facebook. I haven't had the chance to watch it yet but if it's like his other videos it should be good

Harry is doing a wonderful job educating the public with his videos.
Especially his latest video, explaining the fertiliser situation and how wrong the UK government is with its ELMs plans.

I just love the way Harry cannot bring himself to pronounce George Useless’s name correctly.

Somebody asked why we aren’t making Nitrogen in the UK and Europe. I’ve added a comment on this very subject, highlighting the ridiculous situation regarding CF fertilisers, which seems to be causing quite a stir.

Keep them coming Harry!

We used to. In 1967, A local farm discussion club that I belonged to organised a coach trip where we went to the ICI Nitram plant at Avonmouth. We went up the tall tower where they dropped the nitrogen down to form the prills, a similar process to the way that lead shot is made I think. ICI also made Nitram at at Billingham I believe. I think that Billingham continued for longer than Avonmouth.

As we were in the area we went over the new Severn Bridge and back, most of us had not experienced it before.

@Janet Hughes Defra , do you keep an eye on these Harry’s Farm videos?
They make a lot of sense to us farmers and a good deal of the general public too.
Best to open them up on YouTube to see what comments they provoke.

Glad to hear it @Janet Hughes Defra . We gather from another thread that you have not been well recently and hope you are on the mend.

Harry Metcalfe is not an average farmer, but does talk an awful lot of sense. Not many of us can rely on any sort of outside of farming income, let alone the sort that Harry enjoys.
He primarily designs his videos to keep non farmers informed as to what is going on and the challengers facing farming. A few of us actual farmers try to help by expanding on his themes and answering non farmer questions posed by the general public in the Comments section.

I’m sure most of regard him as somewhat more accurate in what he says and how he portrays the reality of farming compared to a certain other notable motoring journalist.
However, I suspect that however envious we may be of the wonderful collection of cars Harry has as is shown in his sister channel Harry’s Garage, we’d far rather hear about Lamborghini cars than a certain Lamborghini tractor!

Farming at the moment is not a subject that is amusing or funny to those of us within the industry itself. There are so many things that worry us, causing enormous stress. Including the very subject of it that you are helping to explain to us, as well as the daunting prospects that recent world events pose to our industry, which are potentially far more serious.

I went to an Andersons Centre meeting last Friday about ELMs that was so far out of date with what you, @Janet Hughes Defra have told us, that we left after the first section, during the coffee break. This meeting was primarily designed for Farm Advisors and Agents within the industry and I found myself being one of the very few actual Farmers/Farm Managers there.
I also found myself seriously wondering how on earth 99% of all farmers are going to understand what is going on, let alone how they can take on board how to implement it themselves.
Quite frankly, those amongst the audience from the Banking industry will be seriously shaking their heads at it all.
I was so glad the owner of the Farm I manage and I left, just to reduce our own blood pressures!
We have even asked Andersons for our money back.

People and farmers listen to Harry, which helps keep us sane and encourages us to continue.
He is without doubt one of the best, if not the best ambassadors for farmers there is.

very good videos, I love the way he explains why cattle grazing is not the cause of global warming, and explains it in a way that is informative, simple to understand, I just wish his messages were disseminated more through the mainstream media. My 93 year old aunt was amazed to see his phone app telling him the name of the plants in the pastures.

What’s the app called, Mrs Bg would love it
