Hi im trying to fit assister rams to a power major and a new performance super major to aid in lifting a 5 furrows Ransomes plough. I have brackets, rams, fittings etc. Does anyone know how to plumb them in to the top cover? Any pics or info appreciated.

Major County Super Six with an assister ram...but it doesn't help with where it's plumbed into.
Can't see there being a port to plumb into on a Power Major unless you're lucky enough to have an auxiliary valve block as well as the standard one for working the lift arms?

I've a 5f Ransome TS78 on a Super Major, but it is semi mounted on 6 cyl.
There is a second hydraulic pipe on it to raise the rear wheel. This could be used to feed an assister ram?

I can't help but think mounted 5f is pushing it on 4 cyl?
Pics tomorrow.

On super major there is a plug on right near front of top cover that is used to test hyd pump prv this can be used but if yours is an older model i have no idea if it was always there in which case If you get a thick plate drilled and milled to sandwich between auxiliary service control valve and top cover it would have to be thick enough to take a tapping for supply to assister rams provided holes were made to line up and recessed to take o-rings a\nd longer bolts fitted it will work

If it is a Triple D, then why not ring Ernest Doe at Ulting, Essex and ask if there is someone who could help or you could speak to. Doe are very much into the heritage machinery, I am sure someone would point you in the right direction.
