Dan Poulter MP

Just because it’s beyond you doesn’t mean he can’t do it. What have any of us ever done to stand in judgment on people who have two jobs? I’m not an MP or practicing consultant are you? This is what’s wrong with this country, it’s full of crap.

He is holding an elected office and doing fudge all. And he won't be the only one. Either be an MP and turn up or don't be an MP. There are too many MPs and Lords and they cost all of us money.

Yep, I reckon the HoL is better off with Professor Robert Winston in it than many others recently "elevated" there

Many of us have been arguing for years that no ex MP should be allowed to sit in the Lords other than on merit of being outstanding in a given field, be it whatever, but 100% not on the basis of political favouritism of any sort.

Better still, take it out of political hands and have a random Jury make the choice, sitting on that basis instead of in the Courts. Give them a list of 'nominees' and go from there.
