indians used to eat a lot of buffalo meat and make them furry necked gillets out of there skins for winter use, never did them any #harm they was alwasy as fit as fiddle s was only when the cowboys came along that it went a bit pear shaped

could this perhaps be bison referred to and not water buffalo? As far as I recall cowboys were not present in India or indeed Europe. Except perhaps for those wishing to pursue a hobby

but All the same family , Bovines " possibly the most most important to man source of food and clothing / footwear of all " except maybe in India :unsure:

Buffalo belong to a seperate family called bubalis bubalis, whereas bison belong to the bovine family. However due to laws in the uk/Europe etc its easier to identify them as bovine so they can come under the same movement rules as cattle do :)

Highly reccomended, slow cooked a brisket for 6 hours today. Worth noting, its all very well butchered and packaged, I've had excellent meat in the past which has been terribly butchered, rendering it dog food nearly.
