A picture thread of AgOpenGPS (AOG) installations and in field work, to hopefully encourage others as to what's possible.

I know on TFF we have AOG users who are steering as manual lightbar, foam wheel motor, 3D printed cogs, 'Baraki' hydraulic valve, OEM hydraulic valves and over CanBus!

So please add any pictures or videos below :)

RTK Base station, an ESP32 with WiFi is mounted on the Ardusimple RTK2B F9P board, this is connected to the home WiFi and provides NTRIP corrections over WiFi via the Internet. The NTRIP corrections are uploaded to the RTK2Go website where they can be downloaded in the tractor over 4G connection (supplied by your mobile phones hotspot) to the tablet running the AOG software.

Installation of my latest prototype PCB and Hydraforce hydraulic valves into my MF6290. Lots to adjust (as you can see by the bodge wires on the PCB) but I've got a pre-order list for quite a few local farmers now! Will be selling these widely as a complete plug-and-play setup soon.

Video below of drilling maize, following exactly down the lines made by the subsoiler in front (also on AOG)

AOG using Trimble EzSteer motor

IMG_5596.jpeg

WAS crying out for one of @Andy26’s new mounts!
IMG_5597.jpeg

AOG PCB mounted in weather proof box so can all be easily moved between tractors. Only 2 bolts, an Ethernet cable and a 10core cable with 3 DT plugs to move. Got remember it’s there near trees though!!
IMG_5593.jpeg

nice straight lines.

IMG_5595.jpeg

Does curves a treat as well, only need to touch the steering wheel once per round.

Are you using section control via agopen to turn the sections on the drill ?

Sadly, the drill doesn't have section control.
Is it an electric drive metering?
We got a 12 row beet drill that was electric drive and we rigged up a trimble field iq with 12 sections works a treat on section control now. Could you do similar using the agopen option
Apologies for going off topic

It's ground drive
I thought about putting butterfly valves in the vacuum lines, I think I could do it for about £80 per section using the AliExpress exhaust valves that chavs put on their cars. But that would lead to seed wastage and long delays when starting the row

When you said the box was on the cab roof, I thought you meant in the headlining! Very smart!

PCB Box looks very Pro

So your hyd steering valve, your taking the pressure, LS and tank connection from the spool block on the back of the tractor, then literally Tee-ing into the steering lines at the front?

Need to find a lower profile box and I’ll probably take the PCB out of the case it comes in and mount it lower on the cross bar so it’s much more streamlined, but it was a bit of a job rush to get it on the tractor, as I keep saying yes to too many other things at the moment! It really does make topping a much more appealing job!

Big problem with temporary mocks ups, is if 'they work' they tend to have quite a long lifetime.

My bodge of a steering motor bracket I did last summer, is still in place working, complete with sharp edges, trouble is 'it works' to well.

Lots and lots of temporarily/permanent fixes here as well.

Yes, it goes through an SP10-57C directional valve, then the L and R lines run through an SV08-41 solenoid valve for safety. This is controlled by ANDing various signals through the box so that everything from the E-stop circuit to the teensy has to be in agreement before it will energise.
