I have a taarup Straw blower. This u bolt has broke. It's for the floor chains. Is this a standard thing one can buy in a hardware shop or is it a genuine piece only? Anyone hardly have the part number?

We don’t use a huge amount of straw. Maybe 40 tons a season. For large calf pens. (7) calving pad and colostrum group. Would the savings in straw usage given the ever rising price warrant the dust and cost of some Sort of straw chopper/shredder? all but one pen would be easy access.

Hi, I want to cut docks, thistles, nettles in horse pastures. I want to cut them high so I leave the grass long and uncut. any advice on equipment that can do this. So far, a Rhino 9 looks good as it cuts at 300 mm. I’m just looking for some other options or ideas. thank you charlie

Looking at a second hand kuhn Straw chopper. How do these machines get on bedding calve sheds with valves in the pins? Is it OK or is there too much dust? Shed would be airy enough. Will it chop the straw up too much or is chopped straw a better job for bedding calves?
