Slurry Stirrer recommendation

Our old stirrer has given up, just wondering if there are certain makes that are better than other's and what people recommend. Think I remember pricing up a Mixit Stirrer a few years ago.

Needs to be 25ft and is for just stirring a standard lagoon.

Thanks.

Yeah. No submerged bearings, and pin on impeller, simple. Its that good at mixing I drop mine into tanks with a backhoe then hook up in preference to a normal pump

Seems like Mixit is the one, they've priced me 2 versions. Just wondering if people go for the standard one or the 200 HP version and what the differences are? Thanks

The standard size propeller works fine here, but we are only stirring about 500k gallons. It’s not a huge lagoon compared to others. I’d save your £750 if it was me.
It’s a machine that only gets used a couple of times a year until the lagoon gets too low and you can’t reach!

Dont get a 200 if you dont have 200
I have the middle prop, a 150 i think?
With 200 hp on it the fastest you can spin it is about 650rpms🤪
The deeper you have the prop the harder it gets to drive. In a full tank at about 4ft down my 6480 will do well to get over 1800, lumps will cause a rise in rpms. The same tank with it as low down as itll go just covering the prop, about 3ft liquid left, she'll go flat out on the 1000 shaft. Nothing else will mix a tank with as little in it

I put a 200hp end on our standard 15ft one and put a 6499 Massey on it and sheared the main shaft in two. I think the factory 200hp models must use a heavier shaft or something?
