Anyone on here know where I might get the cast iron manhole cover as below ? Don't know if I am being a total nit wit but I have looked through all the web sites and drainage companies that have come up through Google and I have still drawn a blank. Thanks :)

According to kingspan they no longer make them see http://www.kepartshop.com/frequently-asked-questions about half way down the page, it gives part number for a retro fit new one.

Thank you everyone ... much appreciated (y)

It came to grief when an elderly neighbour in his late 80's called over on his equally old tractor and accidentally hit the lever and dropped the chain harrows at speed on to the lid and smashed it in two (n) Genuine accident and I really don't think he realised quite how much it would cost me to replace it even 2nd hand  Oh well these things happen.

Get it welded back together?

Yes it would so long as the pipe is the compatible diameter for the new cover ... tomorrows job will be to check this. I actually liked the sort of old-fashion quality of the original cover so was disappointed when it got damaged. The fixing is completely fine, it's just the lid that unfortunately got smashed.

I went through one with the front wheel of a tractor whilst cutting a "pony paddock" for a neighbor, I just cut a lid out of 1/4 plate and then welded a couple of 1" strips at 90 degrees across the back of it. Fitted a treat and much stronger than original although not as nice looking.
Needless to say I dont cut her grass for hay anymore, I think what finally tipped me over the edge was when said lady came out as i was baling and wanted to know if my baler could only bale the grass and not the thistles in the grass...:banghead:
