Kit one used to see

I had a blob marker in the seventies. It didn't have an air compressor, but used the tractor exhaust for the pressure. From memory, there was a sprung loaded restrictor that fitted onto the top of the exhaust pipe, with a three quarter inch pipe coming from it for a hose to pressurise the foam reservoir. It worked ok, but everything got a bit hot!

I used to buy 30 barrels of Sylade a year. Nasty stuff to handle, 15% sulphuric acid and 23% formaldehyde. People were always after me for the empty barrels to use as water butts.

On the subject of link boxes, every one I've ever used (including the one pictured) needed to be detached onto a couple of pallets because the pins were fitted too low for it to reach the floor. Was there a reason for this?
Our Twose one is OK with a little tractor like the B250 but I put a quick hitch triangle on it so I can swap it with the yard scraper.

I still use a 12m sprayer with a blobber.

Spraying in a "breeze^ was fun when using a non cab tractor, as you turned on the headland you got a " refreshing " face full not lol

Dad had an old sheep dog that used to follow him spraying and would trot along under the boom especially when it was warm lol.
