fetf grant scoring

im assuming the the higher the score on the fetf means the more chance you have of being successful? does the amount of money spent on the grant make it more or less likely to be successful or is it all based on the score?

Score based I think, it’s averaged out, so say you were looking at 1 item at a score of 50 …or looking at two items, one at 50, and one at 71, your score would be 60.5.

So it doesn’t matter if you one item cost £2k and is worth 50 points or you want 5 items for 100k worth 60 points your more like to get the 100k?

Just my take on it, I stand to be corrected….I think it’s on points total, on my last grant, I added some low cost items, that were high scores to bump up my overall score. I do wonder if farm size and employees has any impact …..

I think that's correct, the points are basically allocated so that people who have applied for the more obscure grants are more likely to get funding just incase there is a shortage of money. Saying that I don't think anyone who has applied so far hasn't received a grant based on their score.

Having never done any of these grants, is there a timeline after grant approval for buying the item etc- does it have to be bought within x amount of time after receiving the approval??

You have to accept the grant after they approve it. A timeline & possibly a link to how to accept it should be in the email you get if they approve your grant. There then is a deadline for when you have buy & claim your grant. Money needs to be out the bank before claiming.

I’ve heard this could be extended to January again this year instead of November last year
