That's not an appropriate response.
It was merely a light hearted joke, yes of a serious topic but sometimes that's the best way to deal with it.

Just because you may be feeling down it's no excuse to take it out on others.

Funny, I didn't think Kidds response was appropriate, good the OP saw the lighter side. The rest of what I wrote was not directed at Kidds but for those wanting the Eastenders gossip update... which probably doesn't exist for the reasons I stated. Not sure who I took anything out on?

So you didn't like Kidd's response I didn't like your response and you didn't like my response and I didn't like your response to my response....
Classic internet interaction if you ask me...

If you didn't like my response to your response nobody made you respond but you! Perhaps you don't like truth!

The truth is I don't find it amusing what Kidds said, sure, it was dark humour, maybe he knows that op and it was bound to be taken lightly... the issue not even so much as being his post, but all the laughy faces in reaction.... if someone is in the wrong place and that's the reaction from the outside its totally morally what is wrong with social media. There are a few on TFF that go out to pick fun, slate or demoralise as many as they can. @Kidds sorry to say you were being an arsehole, at the time I'd not seen a laughy face from the OP and I stepped in off an underhand comment. BRB, you can get off where you like, keeping a relationship in family farms can at times be incredibly complex and draining

OP has been more than profligate with details and gave lengthy history to present predicament. You can surmise from this he/she was looking for advice, comment, discussion, rant-ability and good cheer from the TFF collective. I thought the joke was very mild- though that may have been just my interpretation- and in the circumstances, quite appropriate. Reading between the lines I would say the OP hasn't got anything really substantive to update the thread with but it was inferred that one day the situation would ultimately be remedied although to whose satisfaction I cannot tell.

always been told, you can choose your friends, but not your family.

and that is so so true.

nearly 30 yrs ago OM died, just getting close to finalising the money, because that is all they are interested in, and their greed, meant they had to wait, instead of a nice pay out then, they wanted more, so put the lot into a trust, to support mother, she's gone, now the fireworks.

But, none of us speak to each other, tried to sort it out a few years ago, not a chance.

family, who would have them. My own will is done, son was with me when l did it, and daughter told afterwards exactly what was in it. So both happy.

For anyone reading this, that hasn't made a will, JUST GET ON AND DO ONE, unless of course, you want your family fighting tooth and nail, and to be remembered as a miserable old git.

if you live to be 100 and that is when the will is inacted then you will still be remembered as an old git ...Would a succession plan also be in order so they dont have to wait untill you are dead

actually know of a case, where mother 'passed' the cheque over to her son, aged 80, she was 101. He died, not having passed it on.

its a difficult subject, but a very common one in ag, and a very 'touchy' one.
you must do, as you as you want.

rules/regs/subs are changing all the time, and you have to be on top of them, at age 80/90 you must be very good at interpreting them accurately.
