Evolution Farming

There’s more new members joining to look at this thread than all other threads I’ve read through

Is that a good or bad thing?

There have been a few reports on this thread to mod HQ as it appears a bit one sided with no one from EF able or willing to respond.

For info, there are mechanisms to “whistleblow” to the relevant authorities anonymously if that’s is in the best interests of distressed animals

Are they all coming from the same ep address? Or all different domains?

Nobody is stopping them giving their side of the story. Equally, nobody who visits (reps etc) any of the evolution farms has come forward. They might say 'I visit another unit, it's well run, the cattle look fantastic'. There is a certain level of anonymity on here, if anyone wants to give the other side.

In all fairness there will be a few on here who know what is happening with this case but I hope they stay silent as there would be nothing worse than trial by social media on something like this.
Completely agree about the problems of trial by social media.

I think what people that don't know what's going on want is that red tractor and similar are there and effective when really needed to look after our industries reputation. Rather than the body that simply comes around and makes niggles and sometimes worse on farms that are doing a good job.

A lot of evolution staff are now handing there notices in and leaving the company very fast . Is this a good thing as less staff members to look after the animals now

All for fair trial etc, but I guess as this particular company/individuals have made their career on lecturing others on how it should be done then the odds of achieving a fair trial is very slim.
Doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be one. I have no problem with first hand testimony. But second hand and then a big pile on is grotesque gossip/ speculation . And there for the grace of god go i

I don't want to comment on the subject of the OP or whatever business was earlier being discussed but the excuse of low milk prices/low profitability has been trotted out here many many times before. Those farms who perpetually do not put a half decent amount of straw/bedding under their stock when housed and it happens every winter, regardless of what the weather is like or the cost of straw. Why should animal welfare be the first thing you sacrifice? That's surely 180 degrees out of the ideology that most stock farmers would hold dear? I'd sooner not keep the things that see them in perpetual ill-thrift.
