I don’t who the elite are now. The only political party in the UK that was able to change the status quo was the Labour party by giving the working man something for his vote ( at least after the second world war ) . However the Conservatives have taken this and ran with it. Control now is more about picking sections of society to hate which blinds people to what is really going on. Which is that they are getting poorer in relative terms because they are making a very small section of society incredibly rich.
Well that is right isn’t it. The elite are enormously wealthy who can flit around the globe as they please. They have no need to engage with anything as lowly as national politics because it’s irrelevant to them. It was once argued that such wealth was a good thing since it would “trickle down” through all layers of the economy, this discredited argument has been now replaced by identity politics. The ultimate identity politics is war, you “must” fight because there “is no alternative”. You “must” pay more for fancier weapons because well, “there is no alternative”. Who are the enemy? All Muslims? Anyone on a boat? Really? What a joke. One thing is for certain it won’t be the international wealthy elite who will be fighting or paying.

Just for interest, what sources would you consider to be factual in this case? If presented with some statistical facts, would you question their bias, or accept them as faithful enough to inform an opinion?

I check the source and the sums.
Aspiring Peasants can verify that.

Anything peer reviewed in a reputable journal fairly shuts me up.
ONS too.
In this instance echr or house of commons reports would probably do the same.

I won't have anything to do with the sun or gb news.
But I can't argue with the people who don't like the guardian because of its disliking of working people.

From what's taking place in the UK, it's very apparent that extremely rich, unaccountable, individuals are engaging with politics. There's a billionaire hedge fund manager giving around £5 million in "loans and donations" to a Westminster MP in return for spreading lies in Parliament, for one. There's a multimillionaire co-owner of a political propaganda TV channel who's involved with a limited company that's fronting as a political party who's very much meddling in UK politics, for another.

Really? I can post links to vast numbers of cases involving Irish travellers, from the HOC Library, Prison Service, Parliament, Justice Dept., PRT etc. etc., and yet you label me as not being credible.

It isn't bigoted or prejudiced to recognise facts and accept other people's verifiable experiences as being real things; whereas it is bigoted and prejudiced not to do so. (y)

There is no paradox or other attempt at smartness to apply here; you seem to have a 'social view' that this group - and probably some others - are blameless victims. That they don't really commit vastly disproportionate amounts of crime and that the people the Courts and everyone else see as the victims of their crimes are in fact, making it all up.

You claim to be a supporter of the working people, maybe you see yourself as a class warrior or some such, I don't know. However if you don't recognise, or if you refuse to recognise that the people this group do most harm to and take most from are the genuine working people, your claim is utterly false.

Too right society is at far more risk from the crooks running Tesco's or BP than immigrants or people not sure of their gender.

primmiemoo if you are not a "fraud"? You have led one hell of a sheltered life if you havnt had or come across or read local stories of the "things" that the so called "traverllers" get up to? From going on what they call a holiday, park up either on a council park, or worse private car park, then threaten the owners ever pay us to go, or we will be here for a few weeks, trash the place, leave heaps of rubbish, human excrement etc? This has all happened local to me? Or time and time again, and going on right now in a neighbourhood near you, "targeting" vunerable people, ie pensioners, bully their way into doing a job? Then charging a fortune for the Job? thats not done "properley"? People then pay them to get them gone with discrace and dispair, that often "kills" the victims, of these disgraceful actions? Yes we dont like them for all this and a lot more?

That really did make me laugh out loud. Any chance of any answers to the questions you’ve been asked. Whoops a pigs just flown passed my window
People don't answer questions when their argument is weak.
It clearly doesn't stand up to be saying everyone on here is maliciously making up stories about travellers because of some illfounded hatred.
I find their actions completely understandable, given they are allowed to sit outside society, its laws and conventions.
They monetise this position effectively and stick together.
The people who naively believe this doesn't happen are the ones who cause it to.

They want and are "left alone" to break the law with impunity.
Due to preferential planning treatment they now mostly own their sites,

Essex man ive got no real problem with anyone, like the majority, if you or whoever are polite, respectful and honest yes thats the way to get along on both sides? We all have problems, arguments, disagreements from time to time, thats life, its how they are dealt with and handled and being trusted? Money dosnt buy manners, another old fashioned but true saying? We seem to be as a nation, me included loosing basic manners, of how to deal, talk , but your point across and argue with out resorting to either swearing or violence?

They also have another well documented land "scam", of buying a field on the edge of a smart village, mob handed turning it, over a weekend into a traveller site, with multiple families living there, then threatening getting the locals to then buy them out or else?
