24 row Erth drill versus 32row direct drills

We ran unidrills for 20 years at 5 inch, the 32 row machines give a far better result. Aim not to drill to late so the rows can tiller out before winter. Getting customers to take this advice is another matteršŸ˜­
Best DD grass establishment I have achieved, has been into a stubble in late August... Up to mid Sept OK, but any later can be problematic.
 
We have just got a 24 run 3m unit brand new at work, in oz, the wild colony.

We tried in grass paddock and with full pressure left alot of bare spots due to disc gang not dropping into low spots.

We have raised the seed boot so the disc can penertrate better, seemed to improve it.

We have to mount harrows as it came with none then i will go try some bare ground that as summer cropped.
