Delivered 27t loads are coming out at around £265 - £275 and could drop a little further this summer, a bit more for smaller loads. It's definitely the time to shop around a bit as it has been a few years since we have seen prices dropping to these levels, hopefully it continues on the downward...
All indicators point to low prices this winter, normally pricing starts to rise around now, be sure to shop around and check prices as they are going to be £30 - £60 per tonne cheaper as we move into December. / January.
Standard rad valves set at the temps required will definitely make a difference, the more that are shut down will improve flow to the ones you require to work better. Normally on older systems you need to leave one radiator without a valve, usually a bathroom towel rail is used. Its worth...
Looks like prices are currently at their lowest and have flatlined, significantly lower than a year ago, forecasts are for a slight rise during the winter but nothing significant ie £20 - £30 p/t. You should see savings v last year of circa £200 p/t.
There was someone on here last month with a new store in North Yorkshire, unfortunately i can't find the thread, if it is yours and you see this we would be very interested in having a discussion.
Looking at the current prices i would say in most areas of the UK under £400 p/t is pretty much where the market is for 8t and above loads. Smaller 3t - 5t £475 - £525 18t - 27t £325 - £395
We are probably at the bottom for prices this summer with forecasts of only £15 - £25 p/t hike this...

We have been operating Wood Pellet stores for over 15 years, our procedures are tight and we have had no incidents in all this time, its no more explosive / volatile than Flour, Gas, Petrol, all can be handled safely if robust procedures are in place.
Not sure this is the correct section of the forum to post on but we are looking for storage in various locations in England, what is the best way to find suitable sites. Is it through an agent, if so which agents specialise or would this forum bring in results if i posted locations / site...
They and Enviva do own many of the east coast US mills, of which only a handful are EnPlus suppliers, its a completely different product and market and has no effect on the UK pellet market excluding power. At least 90% of the pellet produced for power is contracted on minimum 5 year and in the...
Pricing is now stable and will not rise again this winter, the shipments coming into the UK from March onwards are at least 40% lower than the current costs.
Drax have no bearing on UK pellet costs as they use a completely different pellet and do not purchase any significant quantities of 6mm...
It is possible but unlikely.
Pricing is fairly similar, this was instigated some time ago when there was a distinct possibility of shortages in the UK supply chain. There are plenty of A1 pellets to supply this winter period.
