Afternoon @YELROM, if only it was that simple and one day it may be ?

Unfortunately not all farmers want the same product or full articulated lorry loads so we have to accomodate all types and different size orders, we then present them to 5 suppliers for their consideration.

Farmers are then quoted with our best price and have the option to accept or decline the offer. Also all deals are subject to status etc so there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. These are early days for "Collective Deals" and we have already seen demand double in the second round with 4 days to go. The deals will only get better as we scale with the support from our growing member base.

Many thanks David @Farmdeals

Not trying to derail what you’re doing, but Clive is always going on about transparency and buying groups secret pricing why not just put a price on and it drops x amount a ton if the group buy exceeds a certain tonnage

the collective requirement qty goes out to tender to get the best price for all that need product

so the price isn’t known yet

when it is then its no secret and totally transparent

I don't want to get the merchant into trouble. Probably be him that gets it and not me!

what a ridiculous state this industry is where the price of products people want to sell us is a secret and merchants get "in trouble" if their customers dare to share them ............. all I can conclude from that logically is that price depends on whose asking and we are all being told we get the"special" price as long as we keep it to ourselves ! What a bunch of mugs we all are !

Its' actually VERY illegal and if you could prove all this - reward is 10% of global turnover for companies caught using uncompetitive or price fixing practices so anyone with a email with anything like "keep this price private". etc could be sat on a loto win !

Not asking for COP etc - simply asking the price of a on sale product which are not secrets in other industries and certainly don’t get people in trouble if they share their price with others

there are even website than put prices on millions of products these days https://www.amazon.co.uk/ref=nav_logo :ROFLMAO:

selling price of grain on any given day is not secret ......... but the price of nitrogen or a fungicide is ? why ? (I DO know the answer)

Have to agree with @Clive no detail here unless I am missing something with respect ?
But your doing exactly the same thing?

You and Clive criticise others for not putting up prices but you aren't either. Unless I'm missing something?

You said you can't put prices up because they vary with order size?

Well yara put the difference in prices according to order size and delivery distances on there price list? As I showed in that example above.

Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

@Chae1 Farmdeals is free to join and we request no levy/admin fees. We are a buying group which demands no commitment. Your example shows no price. We are simply trying to act on behalf of our members who will see the price once a collective deal is established. 2200 strong in 2 years ? That shows appetite. Biggest buying group in the UK is 3500 with no desire to grow and employs 130 employees, work out that average wage which requires payment, a farmers payment. If farmers want to gain even better prices then this is the model which will assist them to do so moving forward. You may have a price in front of you but is it the best regardless of size and may I ask: Are you a Farmdeals member ? Kindest regards David @Farmdeals

If "big nasties" are fixing the input prices of our poorly priced produce, surely TFF shouldn't be accepting advertising revenue from those companies that are so determined to (and effective at) ripping us off?

Compound fertiliser companies, carbon capture corruption, serial software subscription stealers, etc etc etc

Has TFF become part of the establishment corruption, where prices are fixed and data is mined?
