Drinking too much coffee

Location
Suffolk
Whilst courting my wife as she was working in a photographic studio making the stills for a book, I watched the crew for an afternoon.
The amount of coffee that was drunk left me aghast.
Manic and shaking with the caffeine in their bodies. How they coped each day with such consumption I have no idea.

Think caffeine is a good appetite suppressant. Personally I like a chocolate biscuit with a coffee. 🤦‍♂️

Which accounts for my beer belly.

I have spells of changing from coffee to tea. I think tea is better for you coffee never makes you feel great a bit afterwards if it’s too strong or you drink too much

That's how it dehydrates you, mores coming out than is going in!!!

I used to love the first gulp of beer in the evening, would really look forward to it.

Now times have changed, I bearly drink at all now, but the first mouthful of coffee in the morning is as good as that beer used to be!!

I honestly never worked that out. 🤦‍♂️

Every day is a school day.

A shandy is an amazing post work drink. Bit of alchol to get the feeling

Caffeine was always supposed to be a diuretic but if you drank a similar amount of water it too would have the same effect. Alcohol is a definite diuretic. You can avoid much of the next morning hang over if you drink 1 pint of plain water before bed. My issue is that my gut just doesn't like alcohol and never has.

Caffeine definitely has effects on your gut. There is a lot going on in how your stomach, small and large bowel are organised. I mean the gut even has it's own little nervous system, not to mention regulates it's component parts with hormones. Caffeine I think presses the 'go' button on many of these processes.

It is interesting how 'energy drinks' get demonized and have an age restriction of 16+ but a large latte from Costa has 277mg of caffeine, a standard redbull has 77mg.

I'm not so sure it is just red bull that is in the firing line but rather the likes of Monster and so forth which come in a much larger size and with a significant caffeine content.
