Sorry, to be clear, are you saying he should lose his job because he’s been "stupid" enough to admit to you the instructions he’s been given by those above? But has been decent enough to warn you how it works? You still seem to be playing the man.

You’d rather have an inspector who will try to fail you but won’t tell you why he’s trying to fail you? You’d rather not know?
No. I‘m saying that the strong impression I’m left with is that it wasn’t RT who had instructed him to fail a certain percentage instead of just those who hadn’t attained the correct standards and that this examiner took it upon himself.
We all know that if they look deep enough they could probably find something that might not 100% conform.

From what I gathered from my (senior) examiner is that it certainly isn’t RT’s policy to have a target %age they will pass or fail.

One would think that with the scheme having been around for many years, the pass rate would be going up and that there are less non-conformances.

It’s not up to me if the guy loses his job.
The time when he was shown on Clarkson’s Farm was before he made his admission at our NRoSO meeting.
However, I’m not going to allow him on this farm.
But, unless some action has been taken to at least rectify his stance and he has been spoken to by the senior examiners and been instructed to examine more fairly, it is RT who then become more at fault and in disrepute.

I don’t know if or how many of the others did write or complain to RT. I certainly did.
My (senior) examiner was very embarrassed by it. He certainly thinks the whole system is flawed when such things happen.

When I complained to RT that my second examiner was deliberately trying to fail me, I pointed out that when somebody takes their HGV driving test, the examiner is trying to pass them and that RT should adopt a similar principal.

There are bound to be a few cowboys and some expect themselves to fail, then put it right within 4 weeks.
But I’m sure the majority of us are genuinely trying to do a good job properly and keep within the rules.
So when you get an idiot of an examiner with a principal of ‘I must fail at least somebody’ that have ‘the honesty’ to admit it, he should lose his job!

Because if this sort of thing continues to go on, it just encourage us as honest farmers to become ever greater liars.
And what in all that is holy, is any good in that?
Lying is the way of the world now.
Look at boris,trump, putin etc.
I passed organic inspection first time this yr, couldnt brlieve it, but thr office still came back with a query, cos they just had to!!

Is this right???

Son says that Amazon have paid Mr Clarkson £200m for the rights to the series

No wonder he said (Spoiler alert as this is from Episode 8) "I'm lucky. I have other income streams"

Really makes one wonder why we bother farming tbh ........ think I'll kill a chicken & consult its entrails
no mention either in final tally on the white board of the gov subs he is no doubt getting (of course) as we all do , i thought it just shows buyers of ex farm produce know exactly or costs and pair prices down accordingly so we are all growing at cost , and to be fair clarkson has tried nearly every crop to turn a profit
