Chafer auto contour

Have a 2015 Guardian with 24m booms with the above fitted. I bought it third hand and the chap I bought it from said he didn’t use the auto height because it was rubbish. I’ve been using it and it’s ok, but when I switch off at the ends it lifts as it’s supposed to, but on switching back on some times it drops to about the correct height, but more often than not it fails to drop and you have to let it down manually. Would anyone know why it’s intermittent and can I do anything about it? I asked Chafer and they just sent me a tiny piece of A4 about it and said they no longer fit it. Is it Chafer's own or someone else’s system rebranded. There seems nothing you can adjust on it and I even resorted to bending the sensor brackets to get a more even boom height. Think it would be quite good if it could be made more consistent. Thinking it may be the middle sensor but the diodes flash on and off, so not so sure this is the problem. Who makes the sensors that are fitted? Any advice would be appreciated.

Chafer guys are very helpful I've found. Was Nick someone I spoke to would still have his number, I'll try and find it

Nick Byrne, have you phoned Chafer direct?

I've a old Horstine seeder for OSR. There also agents for them, that's been my dealings with them.
