Brexit - over 4 years on, how do you feel?

The UK left the EU on 31st Jan 2020.

I voted remain, so can't say how it compares to what I hoped would happen if we left.

However, I'm interested to hear from others, especially from those who voted for Brexit.

- How has it compared with your expectations?
- Are you pleased with the outcome?
- If no, what made you expect or would be better than it has turned out so far?
- Would you still vote the same?

Thanks

There is a whole thread in the politics section, if you wish to know what people think it's in there, be prepared to lose the will to live thought it's about forty trillion pages long.

What is not to like? prices increased, beef, lamb, milk, subs are good if not better. May be i,d still be bitter if i had not got my own way
I agree but i wish the government had embraced the new era. Weird how ireland can pass a bill to send migrants here in a matter of days but we cannot do the same etc. Brexit was supposed to see alot of regulation scrapped but its obvious half the country would be unemployed without it. Brexit or no brexit uk governments are clueless

I still think it was the right decision we made and i did to leave, remember covid, came along and turned it all upside down? but all those who said that by leaving/voting to leave, the uk would be plunged into a unemployment, depression with major companies leaving has been proved totally unfounded, in fact new car plants, investment in established car plants, a major spanish brewery to be built in the uk just a few very positive stories, the only disappointment i have is with the RE, leaving the EU, farm payments and what the uk, govt, has put in its place?

Loved it... personally, Brexit really set us up.

Most of the world's currencies did somersaults while the votes were being tallied, and the trading software I was using at the time made enough to put a deposit on a farm.

Which then did really well up until sale.

If it hadn't been for Brexit we might still be getting there, or more likely we'd have abandoned the idea completely

As far as my expectations go, I figured GB would leave but not really leave, and so it's on par

I wouldn't change my vote to be honest, as far as I can see no one in Europe is wildly better off than we are.

The only difference now is that our politicians are directly accountable for their poor performance and behaviour. No hiding behind the big boys anymore.
