    Good idea of @borderterribles . Try & find someone local who will help you. Presenting them & handling them in the ring is an artform that takes time to learn. Heifers of that size would be best handled by a teenager. Looks best if the size of the animal matches the size of the handler.

    Today at work

    All go today. 1st cut cleared in ideal conditions. Meanwhile the show team took a road trip to Ayr Show. Won Ayrshire champion with Peggy 126. Pity the courier didn't get here with the grass seed or we could have got that job off the list as well.😃

    Underway this morning, 40 hours wilt. Probably 33% DM not a seed head in sight. Should be superb feed.

    Best grass seed mix

    As important as the species in the mix is the fertility, or lack of in the ground. Spend big money on seeds but if your ph is wrong & your P & K index are 0 production will be low
