Has anyone had any finance quotes recently?
I’ve been quoted today 4.38% flat for 50k over 60 months.
I’ve nothing to compare it to as the 3 others I contacted haven’t come back to me yet.
I'm looking for a flow meter that will work with low volumes. Something like below but for only 100ml - 1litre per minute.
Everything I can I find is for 5+LPM.
The boy really wants a steering wheel to play Farming Simulator on his PS4.
It seems to me like I either spend £95 on something which may or may not work or £200+ on the Logitech which will work so I thought I would throw it out there to see if there are any suggestions or recommendations.
I've just chucked out a bunch of 6 month old dairy cross cattle which have been on a barley + concentrate pellet blend since weaning.
I have been looking at the 3 in 1 feeders and was wondering if I could feed whole barley through one of those over the summer, or would it need supplementing...

Retirement sale on behalf of my father-in-law James Goodier
I’ve been asked if I’ll sell this trailer, but I don’t know what to ask for it. It needs a new floor and the lights and brakes would probably need fettling.
I’ve got a tailboard for it.
2 weeks ago I showed grass into barley stubble. Geese had found the field in the spring and come back once the barley was off. The gamekeeper had a couple of mornings shooting them and now it’s become apparent that he’s put down a fair bit of wheat to get them to settle round the hide as there...
Recommendations please for a quality hay seed mix.
My requirements are:
a degree of drought tolerance as we dry out easily here.
Something that won’t turn to straw if it’s not made before June
No tetraploids - my current choice is diploid only and it’s remarkable how well it dries.
I’ve got an unproductive field of grass that’s mainly meadow brome. The plan was to hay it this year but with it being so dry I can’t see there being anything there worth mowing.
I’m still an amateur to growing cereals and a cover crop virgin so be gentle…
I’m thinking:
Burn off the grass in...
I drilled some spring barley into half a field where the reseed failed last year at the weekend.
Now digging around it’s obvious the reseed failed due to wireworm as they are present in every hole I’ve dug.
With a decent seed bed and decent soil temperature will it grow away from the little...
Looking for a pair of accord shut-off valves.
Also would be interested in a following harrow, but this would need to be SE England to be viable, valves will fit in a postbox 😂
would also consider a complete drill for breaking
I am about to install a rainwater tank to supply the buildings and troughs which should hopefully mean that the only user of mains water here will be our house.
Are there any downsides to switching our meter to a domestic supplier (south-east Water)? Being able to stick 2 fingers up to the...
I usually order from shearwell, but I've run short of a few tags and they are still quoting 10 days for dispatch. I want to get these lambs tagged and out as soon as possible.
Anyone offer fast delivery? Price is relatively unimportant as I don't need that many.
