    Planting new hedges; weed control?

    Got a kilometer of hedge to put in, to subdivide large grass fields and do boundaries. How do I keep the weeds down? Should I use mulch, if so, how much will I need? I've heard of "mulch mats", do they work? Any better ideas? Thanks all, CB

    Having a go at fodder beet for first time in my "career"... South coast, dry sandy free-draining soils. Beet is for grazing store cattle over winter. Have bought a grazing variety. Any useful advice for a first-time grower? Thanks in advance 👍
