Keep ringing, be polite but relentless, you'll eventually get a helpful person. Make sure they understand the stress you are under due to their tardiness. The only reason there could be a serious issue is if your application was an utter mess, with lots of errors and confusing information. If someone has picked it up, they could work through everything in a day, surely? Has there been any previous ie you've had a fall out or cross words in the past? That shouldn't matter but I bet those cases are put to the bottom of the pile over and over. We've had a number of frustrating issues, where system glitches at the RPA end have reset things, weeks after acceptance or notifications of progress. It's caused huge problems, and the awkward feeling of having to ring back again doesn't help. A really helpful chap told me in January that all emails are logged, recordded and added to your file, and advised me to summarise every phone call in an email immediately afterwards, quoting who you spoke to, and send it in, so the next time they'll see what's happened. Also, apparently you can file an official complaint if the promised call back doesn't happen...again...back up with an email. We had a capital claim that was submitted successfully, but 4 weeks later, after hearing nothing, we checked online, it had disappeared. This was the 3rd similar 'system issue' we'd had. I rang, got a call back, but from a fella who. although very helpful, struggled a bit with English, plainly had no farming knowledge, and kept repeating 'we have 60 days'. He wouldn't even acknowledge that we were way past 60 days from my original submission. I gave it a week, rang back, got a very helpful person who apologised profusely, thanked me for being understanding, said their IT issues were unacceptable, and she'd sort it out. Done in 2 hours. Lord help us in a few months when SFI and Stewardship merge
