And to think that the fresh faced lad on the rostrum in the first photo is now Bagshaws senior partner!

Around 1980? I don't think all the photos are from the same era,though. The picture taken on the sheep may be later and the one with the calf in the sack, a fair bit earlier.What year would you put that at?

Yes Roy is basically part of the mart I can’t remember him not being there and that’s going back to the old marts at the other side of Hexham tooNot exactly forgotten marts. Anyone who has been to Hexham mart in the last 40 ? years will have come across the legendary Roy Coe. Origionally drove cattle wagons for A R ( Dicky ) Scott ( based at the mart) then took on his business. When he sold the haulage business became foreman at the mart.
This week he turned 90, still working at the mart
