On line ones for land use change... you know perfectly well.. perdantacism at it best.. bye
He is not doing a mapping change, he is doing a land use change.
DO NOT use an RLE1 form for this, log into the RPA website as before, it just you are not doing it for BPS purposes, you are doing it for stewardship.

Having now read the ‘24 land use code pages personally I would use FA01 in @farmer92 situation.

Just listen to him.. i know nothing. Sorry
.
DEFRA have not communicated what needs to be done regarding land use updates at all well.
They did clearly say that for BPS there was no need to do land use changes. It was only through a 3rd party that I heard that land use should be kept updated for CS.

Looking at the ‘24 land use code info it seems that they have removed the old BPS May reference date for land use and have just gone with the stewardship code in the payment year, regardless of the old mid-May date, again this is only what I picked up reading between the lines of the ‘24 Land Use Code web page tonight, it is not really very clear at all. I think there will be lots of scope for RPA delaying stewardship payments at the end of the year from this and the blame will lie squarely on them!

@Huno’s favorite subject of SFI hasn’t even entered the murky world of land use codes yet, just imagine what joys await us all next year!

A bit of Googling brings up an RPA blog post regarding CS and land use. It’s the only “official” communication I’ve found about it….

Last year we simplified the process for submitting your CS revenue claim online and once again this year you will be able to use this streamlined process.

Before you submit your CS claim, please make sure you have updated your land use codes by signing into the Rural Payments service. If you are unable to access the Rural Payments service, email us at [email protected].

Hi all,

I submitted our CS claim end of March (our 1st year in a new agreement) but have had a thought post submitting. We’re putting two parcels into AB6 following this year’s winter wheat crop, obviously to be harvested this summer. My question is, we changed the land use code of these parcels to wheat (AC66) because that’s what they are right now, but because we’ve claimed them as AB6, should they be down as fallow (FA01) instead?

Basically, do we put them down as what they are right now, or what they are going to be?? I didn’t want any confusion when our claim is being checked by RPA.

We have been in CS before and used AB6 but I can’t quite remember how we did it re. land use codes so if somebody could shine some light on it then that would be great!

Thanks!
I have the same dilemma, it depends on when the RPA look at it and cross reference as to what the correct land use code is, throw in SFI options and potential for lots of queries.

It always was land use on the 15th May, but for AB6 thats most likely to be land use code AC66 (Winter wheat), but should be FA01 after harvest.

Which means a field in WW-AB6-WW-AB6 could have land use codes for the next 4 years of FA01-FA01-FA01-FA01

It says to code AB15 as TG01 'Temporary Grassland', AB15 can also have IPM4 on the parcel at the same time, IPM4 cannot be claimed on 'Temporary Grassland', hope RPA computer doesn't say No!?

I am struggling to change the location of ab15 after the first two years, I have changed the land use of the new parcels to TG01 but the fields don’t show up on the list of parcels for the rotational options, only the original ab15 parcels are on the list. I think I’ll leave them as they were and then send them an email with the corrections after I have submitted which is allowable I think.

I had the same problem a few years ago, just select that not all rotational items are confirmed and email with the parcel number and area.

I have one field missing from my AB15 this year, having to do the same.
