Was talking briefly to my agronomist yesterday, he was asking was I watching wheat futures…. Said this time last year French wheat had a 96% good-excellent rating…. This year it’s 63% I think he said

Has the price of feed barley risen a lot over the last 3 weeks? I sold some to a near neighbour 3 weeks ago and I let him find out the price but he paid £150 a ton for good bold spring barley.

That might have been the quoted price, 3 weeks ago, but no-one was selling at that, I believe. @Full of bull(s) will know better.

Just had a look back and I was quoted £166 exfarm barley on April 18th.

I think it had got down to £150 early March time, but has recovered quite a lot since. Spot prices was £174 here on Monday.

Yes it has, I was paying 150 not long ago but over 180 this week. There isn't much about
