Nearly 90, but won't all be in solar, they have to plant trees strips etc. Still alot of things to do before it even goes to planning but they think it will be past fingers crossed.
We're getn well down the road now, 950 an acre rent 5% of revenue per year and some storage. If it happens it will be the end of the sheep, they've got the licence front scottish power also. 37 years lease. Set my daughter up for life.
Those old ewes at lanark were the dearest sheep lv every sold 160 a piece. Still a few but have to clip them and can go in June once they improve abit. Who knows what breeders will be in September but those old girls with history are better away at these prices.
Second week in July this year, was up at lanark with a few odds& end ewes that aren't rearing a lmb for some reason but probably only had over 2000 hoggs maybe 800 ewes. So expect a great trade. Had a new buyer so that always helps.
I had alot of deaths down to the weather a month ago alot of twins now running with one. A few with none. The gimmers have kinda saved the day. But pretty average all because of hellish weather. Only 12 gimmers left to go.
I heard a story of someone in the Scottish borders losing 300 lmb last Wednesday /Thursday with snow n rain. If that true no one can carry on with those losses. Another man told me he's had more dead than living outside lambing in Lanarkshire. Alot less lmbs about this autumn for sure.
