Manitou 627 - Bottom Door Hinge issues

Parts all arrived, including the important brass thrust washer (a lot thicker than the outgoing one showing it has a job to do, and smoother). And a nice new right hand mirror as well. All fitted and handler back in use (not that we use it lots). thanks for the help.

Manitou 627 - Bottom Door Hinge issues

Hi, the pin on the top hinge of the bottom door has snapped. I have removed the grease points and little clips on base of pins. But can’t get the door to lift off the bottom pin. It will come up about 1cm but no more. Is just more brute force required? Have tried levering between top hinge...

Manitou 627T - New to me

Sensor removed, cleaned, reinserted. The top bolt was a little bugger, with a pipe in the way. No difference. So removed and turned 180 degrees in case it was handed and no difference. Couldn't see markings for fitment but thought it was worth a shot. There is max 0.5cm difference between...

Manitou 627T - New to me

Productive-ish afternoon. Found the clip and it seems the catch has broken. Cable tied end to end as tape wouldn’t stick. Both lights now work. The bad news, when lit the rear wheels are miles off straight. Do they need calibrating? And while looking for the connector I found a load of muck in...

Manitou 627T - New to me

I have the error codes. It’s not in the normal table but is in the book. A1 and A7 alternating with A4 and A8. Book says a defective link in the operational of the longitudinal and stability limiter and warning device. Doesn’t give any other error code. But only happens some times. I’ll work...

Manitou 627T - New to me

Will clean rads. And thanks for the reminder on self levelling abuse, I picked up on this before but now I have one a timely reminder. (No bucket up when dropping ram or bucket down when raising). timing cases and welding are out of my scope (sensors/electrics more my comfort zone). What...

Manitou 627T - New to me

when the fault occurs there is a red ! A1 and A7 alternating with A4 and A8. Book says a defective link in the operational of the longitudinal and stability limiter and warning device. But turning off/on again seems to clear it. So a dodgy sensor or loose connection seems likely. So maybe load...

Manitou 627T - New to me

These ones? Value Engineering at its best/worst. No one though it was a good idea stacking radiators but it was the likely only place they could fit at short notice. 🤣 all the other ones have their quirks, pin wear, 90 degree gear boxes, too wide, too short/imbalanced. Etc etc. I doubt we...

Manitou 627T - New to me

It does. Does it work? Jury out at present. Certainly wasn't blasting cold air out although it wasn't that warm a day either when I tried it.

    Battery cost calculation

I have 25-years experience in energy, mainly energy data, energy reporting and efficiency. Your thought processes are along the right lines. So then its just down to how nicely the figures are laid out and whether you are trying to be pessimistic or optimistic. If you are into renewables then...

Manitou 627T - New to me

Well my 'new' Manitou has arrived. 2012 627T and most of it seems to work. Cab cleaned out and polished, top seat cover removed and washed, headrest steam cleaned, seat squab needs replacing but that looks like a seat out job. It's probably beyond cleaning/repairing so will wait until I have a...

Stupid newb question - MLT 627t

Ok - so no grading backwards. Certainly used a jcb 526 for smoothing with the bucket when exiting compost heap. But less force than proper grading. But useful for fence post pulling, and other grabby, grippy jobs and cleaning up stuff where there isn’t a wall to push up against. The wall bit...

Stupid newb question - MLT 627t

About to take delivery of a 'brand new' old Manitou 627t (2012). Need a muck grab & 4 in 1 bucket. (Got Pallet Forks). What size bucket and muck grab, I literally haven't a clue. I'm thinking I don't need anything wider than the machine at 6ft 6. But is a 6ft or 6ft 6 going to be right or...
