    All things Dairy

I see you have chosen a piece of Wighton, our first cheese which I started selling on Farmers Markets 23 years ago. We had the cheesemaker's AGM at Bath Soft cheese a couple of years ago.

    Smart meter

We recently had to upgrade our HH meter (200A 3ph supply, import/export) to upgrade from 3G to 4G. For the comms to work, we have to put the antenna on a pole about 5 m above ground level.

Unlocking Value: Waste Into Worth Through Modular Anaerobic Digestion?

Please test your questionnaire before publishing. The question which asks whether you have a bill for heating, and if you say no the next question asks to upload the bill, and will not proceed without an upload. The question on percentage fertiliser as synthetic or organic does not say whether...

    New toy day

Uses a special oil for gas engines. With an extended sump we get about 1300 hours out of the oil, sampled at each oil change. We change heads every 28,000 hours as they tend to suffer from valve seat recession. It is a 12 litre block.

    New toy day

Service exchange for our CHP engine which has done 112,000 hrs built 2010. This one is even older, not sure how many hours but the block is 2007, remanufactured by MAN and just delivered from the Netherlands to be swapped on Monday. Not a cheap service option, but cheaper and quicker than having...

    New toy day

New to us, destined for the scraper. It looks a bit clean and tidy for that, but I could not find anything else 2 wheel drive and reasonably priced. We have given it a new seat, door latch and gas strut, and front wheel bearings as well as oil change and filters.

After a cut of Westerwolds and ryegrass drilled after barley harvest last year, applied composted FYM and liquid digestate before drilling maize.

Maize drill mounted on power harrow

Your last year's setup looks like a Concept. We had to take off the front rectangular plates either side of the tines as the cover crop sladed up on them. We are very pleased with the first season with it.
