Evening all
Just wondering what a general purpose shed to store machinery be now? No panels just cladding to floor and one end open
approx 60x30x14 I’m thinking kit form or erected
TIA
Just curious what people use to scrape back of cubicles and crossovers. We bed down with Envirobed but find it sticks to the bed if damp so the usual hand scraper doesn’t quite clean it unless you build up a sweat.
Jcb 403 for us. Does the scraping, bedding and clean out any tight calf pens etc. handy and agile machine. Just don’t steer full lock with a full dispenser halfway up or allow any cows being hoisted to pull perpendicular to machine 😂
I’m worrying about this also. A lot of farms are being advised (wales nvz) to cover their slurry stores and open yards before applying for increased capacity which in fact make the slurry thicker.
We will be fecked off with this thicker slurry job whenever the splash plate ban will kick in.
Short chopped grass improves digestibility (D value) especially when grass has matured as cows can’t digest the wall stem of a sward so a chopper helps unlock that. If your harvesting grass at the stage where you’d would graze it then a wagon chop is fine as why would you chop it if cows graze...
And wagons are for harvesting the short high value grass that cows would graze. You’d be suprised as to how many people don’t understand this and start slagging off wagons.
Thought I’d reprise this thread based on its title to save starting another thread.
Considering retrofitting a turbofiller to my 6inch lazy arm as I speccd the arm to have a joint on it ready swap the end for a turbofiller. Is it worth it? Any thoughts/findings would be much appreciated.
thanks
